Abstract 

This study is focused on the life and especially on the thought of Fr Nicholas Afanasiev (Николай Николаевич Афанасьев, 1893-1966). Initially, after a brief outline of the life and action of Fr Nicholas is given, subsequently, there will be a reference to the theological thought of the Russian writer, and indeed based not only on his famous dissertation "The Church of the Holy Spirit", but also his other, equally important, publications.
